The sun was just about to go under and I saw my friend Norma sitting in the water and just enjoying the lazy summer afternoons.Everything is smelling fresh after the beautiful rain that we have had yesterday and today. It washes all the dust and dirt away. I decided to take a stroll down to the river this afternoon to see how full it is and how strong the water is running.

The water was a little cold after the rain but that didn`t prevent the children and the other adults from enjoying the water.

I always enjoy a quick chat with my friend and she told me that the river is running very strong and that a dog got swept away this afternoon when he tried to cross the river. How sad is that? I hope they will be able to find him.

Next weekend is a long weekend in Argentina and we are inviting you to come and enjoy our beautiful river and nature. It is also Carnival weekend – a jam packed weekend!

An Upgraded Private Room

We have recently decided to upgrade one of our Private Rooms. This was the first room that were finished when we built Hostel Tinktinkie in 2008/2009. I remember the night before we had our first booking so well.Friends of Andrey booked the room for a week and this was the only room that we had available at the time. There was no kitchen yet. Andrey finished the tiling and last of the grouting and at 3 am in the morning I sat down on the bed and I cried. It was tears of tiredness, stress and relief. We had our first room ready for people.

At the start of the season (2013) I decided to change the duvet and bedding and I purchased a beautiful reversible duvet set from a lady in Buenos Aires. I decided to stay with the lime green colors but to add black in case I get tired of the green. After the high season we will paint the room but will stay with the same colors.

We invite you to visit our upgraded room when you want to enjoy the beautiful summer holidays in Santa Rosa de Calamuchita. Remember we have the annual Carnaval coming up on 8,9 and 10 February. We still have some places available.

Motofest 2012 en Santa Rosa de Calamuchita

Del 6 al 9 de Diciembre, veni a vivir el 5to MOTOFEST ARGENTINA. Miles y miles de motociclistas de todo el país encontrándose en nuestra ciudad para disfrutar de nuestro Rio, nuestras sierras y nuestras rutas. Mas de 14 bandas de rock en vivo, Horcas, Legendarios, Eruka Sativa, La Metropolis, Fierro, Jaque Reina, La Mississippi y muchas mas.

Next week, from 6 to 9 December, Santa Rosa de Calamuchita is hosting the annual Motofest again. It is a fun filled adventure for the whole family and thousands of Motorbikes from all over Argentina will gather here for this very popular event.
